Quiz 12-10

I feel that my essay does have some weakness and reveals my strengths. While i was writing the draft i was replaying that day back and forth in my head over and over, so i could get perfect details. Some of my strengths are actually doing my brainstorming and my draft, it helps me with my final paper. Also i use transition words when i write my paper. I have realized my weaknesses. One of my weaknesses would be not sticking to the write tense words.

Quiz 12-3

I think that the deaths of the teenagers are the driver's fault, their own fault. The teenagers knew that the driver was drunk and they knew what the risks were for getting into a car with a drunk driver. The driver should have known not to drive while intoxicated, but sometimes you dont think when you are under the influence.

In class writing: Nov.19,2011

Have you ever went to a midnight premiere of a movie? My first premiere was for the movie Breaking Dawn and it was not so good. We had no set time to leave, I was getting annoyed with people cause they were being crazy, and I wasn't able to be in the same movie theater are my friends.

In-Class Writing: 11-12-11

I believe abortions should not be legal. First of all, abortion is being self-fish, your not thinking about the human growing inside you, your only thinking about yourself. I do understand that some may have not been willing, and thats a different story. But I do  know that many young women do get pregnant so early and don't know what to do, so they immediately go to abortion. Next, religion does have a big part in the decision. The catholic religion does not believe in abortions, or birth control. In other religions they believe that if the women did get pregnant at a young age, the only option is to kill the baby. The girls that do get abortion, sometimes look back and wish they didnt do it, they wish they could just take it all back and never stepped foot into that office. Girls that do get abortion are taking the mistake out on someone who cant even defend themselves. It  was your decision to have sex and your decision only, so you took the risk to get pregnant. Then because of your decision, you ended up getting pregnant and you realize you didn't want this, so you go to the option of abortion, instead of adoption. Finally it could affect the girl. If the girl has an abortion, but gets pregnant later in life what is she suppose to do. Keep the second baby, but then in the back of her mind she knows it wont be right to kill the first one and to keep the second one.  Abortion can tear family apart. The family could want something completely different then what the girl wants. This hard, life changing decision should not be legal, for it does hurt everyone, including the little baby that doesn't get to see this beautiful world.

In Class Writing: Softball Pain!

When I was in the 9th grade I played volleyball and softball. During volleyball season i didn't twist my ankle, sprain a finger, or broke a bone. But when softball came, it was a different story. The first time i hurt myself was at the batting cages. The whole team took a trip to the batting cages to practice some hitting and timing, outside of practice time. When we got there it smelt like sweaty old people.  I was really nervous cause i didn't know how fast it was going to come at me. I told my coach that i was scared and she said that i was going to be okay. As I'm  walking in there i am extremely scared, but thought that i have to do this to conquer my fear. The first ball comes and i swing and actually hit the ball, so as more come I'm getting good swings and soon the scared feelings goes away. Next, the coach told me to press the button and go for another round. I said okay cause i wanted to keep batting. As I'm standing there i am ready for the next one, i watch it as it gets ready to come out. Then the ball comes out and hits my index finger. Instantly I step back and try to figure out what happened while i try to hole back the tears. I felt extreme pain as i tried to bend it. I got out of the batting cage and went to my coach. She said its okay, its just gonna hurt and to put some ice on it. I felt so dumb for crying in front of the other girls but i couldn't help it, it hurt so bad. After the incident i didn't want to go back in there so i sat out and watched other girls.  Finally the other girls were done and we all went home. I walked into my house and told my mom, so she grabbed the ice and put it on my finger. The next day I couldn't practice cause i still couldn't bent it all the way. Playing softball requires a lot of toughness.

Jump Street girl!

If you live in Arizona and you haven't gone to jump street, you need to go. Jump street is a place to go and have fun with your family and friends. When you first walk into Jump Street you will see a big place filled with numerous trampolines and arcade games to play when you dont feel like jumping anymore. The trampolines very in different sizes. There are big, dark blue ones that make you jump higher,and  the fuchsia pink ones that are more for little kids who are scared to jump high. Also there is a little kids area where the kids can play on the huge, blown up, bouncy animals. Unfortunately they dont have any food to buy, but you can buy some of there delicious drinks, which very from powerade  to soda. The smell of jump street smells like a truck full of rubber and little sweaty feet from everybody being there. Once you get to the trampolines you can actually feel the rubber on your feet and hands when you do back-flips, front-flips, and other crazy tricks you can do. Jump street is a popular place to go and have fun with your friends, but you are going to have to get use to the shrieks and yells coming from the little kids mouths, or maybe even your friends when you play dodge ball. I really think everybody should visit Jump Street at least one time in your life to have the experience. Jump street is an awesome place, so i suggest you get in the car and drive over there.

In class writing

My algebra 2 class can be very good some days, or it can be vary bad. Our class is split up into three different groups, the kids who pay attention, the ones that dont care, and the ones that talk back, because they dont like what the teacher does, but they still do their homework. When class starts we all sit down and get ready for the lesson. Well the kids that dont really care just listen to music and go to sleep, but the kids that care about there grade immedietaly take out there homework, and the kids that complain take out there homework and dont ask any questions. At the end of the lesson, the teacher gives us homework and most of the kids dont understand the lesson because of how the teacher teaches, and we basically have to learn on our own. The homework she gives us is about 2 pages long full of problems to work out. The kids that pay attention really dont care how much homework they get, they just do it anyways. When one of the kids for the complain groups start to groan, or make noises majority of the class does the same. Someone always shouts out " Why do you give us so much homework, you know we do have other classes, and sports." or  " I hate this class!" While the kids that dont care join in because they don't want any homework, even though their not going to do it anyways. By the time class is going to end our teacher is mad and the kids just start talking. This is an everyday thing in our class.

Control Freak

A control freak is a person who craves control, is obsessive and is scared for change. Many people think a control freak is someone that has obsessive composlive disorder(OCD), but that not the case for everyone. They can be described as person who wants everything to revolve around them. For example babies want control all the time, they want to have people obey to them all the time. Next they can be very obsessive. With wanting control, there comes being obsessive over the things you want control over. Some boys can be obsessive over there girlfriends. They want to know where they are 24/7 and what there doing. This sometimes ends up in an abusive relationship. Third they are scared of change. Many people who are control freaks are afraid of change because they dont want to loose all the power they have over something. When they loose control something they go crazy and tend to do harm.

My fantasy world.

In my perfect world, my life would be different because of the money, my house, and magic. In reality i only have 10 cents to my name and gradually try to get more, but it just doesn't happen. I would like more money to be able to do more things, cause our economy is in the dust and i dont think its getting better. My house is not a an actual house its an apartment. My apartment is good but i would like to live in a bigger place, and have a bigger room that has color and not just a white wall. Now i know in reality there is no magic, and the closet thing we have to magic is hope and faith. In my perfect world i am living my life as a big time money maker and loving my job as either a chef, interior designer, lawyer, or wedding planner. I no longer have just 10 cents to my name i have upgraded to the big bucks. Instead of living in an apartment, I have a huge pink castle that has a beach in the backyard. It has tons of rooms so people can come and stay if they want to stay the night. I have a fish tank that is filled with dolphins, turtles and fish. As for magic my perfect word consist of all types of magic, just not the evil witches. Magic is everywhere and i love it. Now only if my reality world was like that.

Dear Mom,

      I wanna thank you for all that you do for me, like support me in what I wanna do, taking me out so i can get away from school, and working around my volleyball schedule. First of all i appreciate your support that you give me. When ever I need a second opinion on things you always give advice, but you let me make the choice and support me in what i choose. Such as doing the ACE program i was unsure if i wanted to d this because i knew that it was not going to be easy, also when i chose to do volleyball over softball, i knew your were trying to convince me but you knew volleyball was my sport. 

How to flirt 101.

Some people don't really have "game".  In order to help these people that don't have "game", you must go through these steps to make you successful. Flirting is kinda like playing around and pushing hints to the significant person that you like them. If you are a guy and you are trying to flirt PLEASE do not use cheesy lines such as "Did it hurt? When you fell from heaven?" or " Are you from Tennessee, cause your the only TEN- I- SEE." girls will only laugh and walk the other way. If you are a girl who is trying to flirt with a boy, please respect yourself. If the guy your going for likes girls who like to show off there goodies then move on to a boy who will actually respect you for you. After you found the person you want to flirt with do the following steps. First you have to have an interest in a girl/boy to start flirting, you actually have to have something going for them. Next, if its a friend your trying to flirt with, then you need to hangout with them more often and make them want to hangout with you too. Then you want them to be comfortable around you, so they can soon start flirting with you. Don't get mad if the person doesn't want and interest in you, just simply move on and find someone who does. Finally, once you reached that point in time where you both realize that you guys are both flirting then it will eventually grow into a relationship.

Quiz

It has been about one-fourth of the semester and I think this class is going really well. During the summer break we didn't get any free time to let our brains take a break and i found it really hard to pay attention. One thing i like about this class is the break. During the 10 minute break I can go get food to fuel my energy, and it can help me concentrate on the class. Another thing I like is my instructor, she makes sure we understand what is happening in the class and that days lesson. She is doing a great job :)

U.S heath problems.

 I think the U.S is fullly aware of the health in the U.S, it s not hard to miss how are health is. I do think the U.S can only do so much to let the people know that if they don't get their health back on track then they are going to have bad and dangerous dieases, such as heart problems that could end up killing them. The U.S has tried to get schools better to get them to sell something other then fries in the high schools. The schools have been fullly aware of the health in the U.S and i feel like the P.E coaches in the schools care more then most of the U.S they try to get kids back in shape so they can have a healthy long living life and enjoy evey minute of it. Then again there are people who really just dont care if they have health problems, and even if they get told my the doctors that they need to change their eating ways or they will die, they dont change anything about it. Its pretty sad when you know that the U.S is the most unhealthy country in the world. We need to think about our future. If we keep this going and the way our health is, pretty soon the whole U.S country will be so unhealthy and its going to be extra hard to get everybody eating right and knowing the consequences. Rather then start little and eventually influence the whole U.S.

Revised Paragraph

In college, there are many things that change like life style, freedom, and even study strategies. One strategy I use in high school is flash cards. I used flash cards to help me study for my vocabulary test and even for my element test I had in chemistry. When it's time to study for the test, you should study throughout the week the test is in. Take out all materials such as notes from the class or the book. Review over the notes to point out stuff that might be important to know. From then on you should pass the exam or test with no problems at all.

                An activity I enjoy very much is playing volleyball for various reasons at a time. I have been playing volleyball ever since I was in 7^th grade and still playing till this day. Plang volleyball or practicing it, is a place were I can go to get away from everything. At school all I can think about is going to practice after school, I cant wait to play the game I love. Some may say you cant have love for a game, but I tell them you can and its the best thing ever. Another reason is I love the intensity of the sets or the games. Whenever we get a kill or an ace it sends  excitment through the air and brings a smile to my face. When a game is really close and you heart starts to beat fast is when its the best. Volleyball is a sport that I enjoy very much, just  thinking about it brings me chills.

Journal

Yesterday; August 19,2011 I was pretty much busy. I started my day waking up at 5:30 to attend A hour and school. Going to school that early does have it ups and downs, you don't really get to sleep in, especially if you have tons of homework that night and you get home late from practice. At school I was very excited to see my friends again and find out what they were going to do later on that night. By the time 4th hour came I was extremely hungry, so i asked the teacher if we could have candy so we can stay energized until lunch time. The teacher finally said yes and had my pass it out. Lunch time was fun, yet crowded with all the new freshmen. At the end of the day, while in Spanish class, I need to find a ride to Scottsdale Community College to watch my volleyball coach play. I was able to get a ride from my friend Melissa. After school I went to the athletic trainer to get some ice for my bruised knee. While sitting there watching as my knee gets red, from the coldness, I see my friends getting ready to g watch the football players. I wanted to go watch them practice so I got up and threw my ice away. Watching the football players practice made my realized they deserve a lot a credit for wearing all this gear and having to run around in this hot Arizona heat. Then around 5:45 my friend Melissa came and picked me up from Westwood to go to SCC. When we finally get there, we see our coach and her sister. Being able to see my coach play, was a really fun experience. As my day went on I knew I had got to go to sleep early, because ACE started the next day.
